Oysters are big in the Pacific Northwest, and nothing kicks off a steak dinner like a dozen or so freshly shucked and beautiful bivalves…which you can also enjoy at some of the Pacific Northwest’s best steakhouses, like the ten listed here.

Metropolitan Grill in downtown Seattle will serve you some luscious oysters on the half shell, and you’ll want to follow that with equally luscious beef, like the Double Aged Prime Porterhouse.

Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue serves only USDA prime steaks, flash-seared and then broiled at 1800 degrees. Fantastic.

John Howie Steak, also in Bellevue, is locally know as the place for steak, particularly their Mishima Reserve American Wagyu Beef “Long Bone” Rib eye.

Red Cow in Seattle is a brasserie, with traditional plates like the marvelous steak frites: simple and spectacular.

Portland City Grill has outstanding Pacific oysters and steak, corn-fed, locker-aged and char-grilled: meaty dreams.

The Steakhouse at 9900 offers Portland a triple threat: lounge, cigar bar, and a restaurant with gorgeous red meat.

El Gaucho

El Gaucho has fire-dancing, tableside cooking and some of the best steaks you will find in Portland or anywhere else.

Lock Stock & Barrel in Boise serves a beer marinated top sirloin that will blow your mind.

Chandler's Steakhouse is among Boise’s best, serving many fabulous cuts, including Delmonico and Tomahawk Ribeye.

The Brickyard in Boise has gained renown for its Chateaubriand for Two, which pairs perfectly with a plate of Idaho potato jackets…though we suggest you begin with Oysters Rockefeller.
