Fleming's

Steak always feels like a special occasion. For a truly special occasion like Valentine’s Day, you want something special that will wow your significant other, and nothing says special more clearly than a big juicy steak…the kind you’ve come to expect at Chicago’s greatest, and absolute best, steak restaurants.

Given current Covid restrictions, some restaurants have opened a portion their dining rooms, and others have focused on takeout and delivery, but either way, a dinner from one of Chicago’s best steak restaurants will ensure that the meal and the day will be experienced and remembered as the most special. Ever.

GT Prime. Giuseppe Tentori’s GT Prime Steakhouse is preparing a very traditional and very special Valentine’s Day menu with two filet mignons with red wine Bordelaise sauce, freshly baked and sliced focaccia, French-style mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and chocolate dessert (of course!). If you’re feeling especially hungry – or celebratory – on this big day, there are upgrades of raw/chilled seafood and a few specialty items for you to check out. Re-warning and cooking instructions are provided.

Fleming’s. Providing curbside pickup and delivery, Fleming’s in Lincolnshire is offering a three-course Valentine’s Day dinner of 35-ounce Prime Tomahawk (or filet mignon, if that’s your preference) with lobster tail scampi and crab-stuffed shrimp. The full Fleming’s menu is also available, which means if your tastes tend more toward fish or vegetable-forward menu selections, you can have any of that, too.

Wildfire. Wildfire is offering a fabulous Valentine’s Day spread including choice of appetizers (shrimp cocktail or Wildfire chopped salad) and a wonderful selection of two entrées, and you pick two: cedar planked salmon, beer-braised short ribs, prime rib of beef, filet mignon and lemon-pepper chicken breasts; for an eight dollar upcharge, there’s Parmesan-crusted New York strip (it’s awesome). For dessert, there’s triple layer chocolate cake or (our favorite) Key lime pie.

Prime & Provisions

Steak 48. On Valentine’s Day, Chicago’s Steak 48 is opening its entire menu for your enjoyment. We suggest you start with something traditional, and at Steak 48, the traditional is always extraordinary, with selections like the Super Colossal Shrimp Cocktail or a cocktail of Maine lobster. Prepare to be wowed by possible entrées, including an eighteen-ounce bone-in filet mignon (which you can plus up a little with a Wagyu bone-in filet!). There’s also a full complement of knock-out sides, like corn crème brulee as well as Alaskan king crab and rock shrimp mac n’ cheese.

Prime & Provisions. Prime & Provisions rolls out the Valentine’s Day red carpet with a “Delmonico Dinner for Two” prepared by Chef Partner Joseph Rizza. To be enjoyed at home, special dishes come with instructions for assembling, heating, and serving. The menu will make two people incredibly happy with a pair of two sixteen-ounce Delmonico steaks (boneless rib eyes), Caesar Salad, whipped potatoes with horseradish crust, mac n’ cheese under a parmesan panko crust, grilled asparagus with apple saba, and a chocolate caramel cream cake. Want to make dinner extra special? Well then, there are additional menu upgrades as well as wine or a bouquet of flowers that you can add on to your order when you check out.
