VISIT MIAMI FOR THE BEST STEAK…AND THE BEST FISH NEAR YOU

Smith & Wollensky

Few cities in the United States are as well positioned – geographically -- as Miami to serve you the best steak and the best fish.  With access to the finest meat producers in the country, Miami is also in a state surrounded by water on three sides, which means there’s a whole lot of fishing going on.

Across the country, people are eating more fish than ever, and (of course) they’ve always eaten a lot of steak. Miami’s best steakhouses give you the chance to please everyone at the table with offerings of fish and seafood that are every bit as wonderful as their steaks.

Here are five Miami restaurants that deliver some of the best steak and the best fish (and seafood!) that you will find in the United States. If you’re going out to eat with your significant other (or just a friend), why not get a steak and a fish entrée and share the best of both?

Papi Steak.  Papi Steak announces in its name that it’s putting a lot of emphasis upon red meat, and they do serve some of the finest steaks -- Dry Aged Kansas City Strip, Wagyu Calotte de Boeuf, 32 ounce Glatt Kosher Ribeye – but they also serve some amazing fish and seafood.  In addition to the steak, you can enjoy Dover Sole, Grilled Branzino and King Crab Stuffed Florida Lobster Tail.  It’s going to be a tough choice, so maybe it’d be best to go with both a steak and a beautiful piece of fish.

Smith & Wollensky.  You know you’re going to get some of the best beef in the world at Smith & Wollensky, like their Signature USDA Prime Dry-Aged Bone-in Ribeye and their 46-ounce USDA Prime Dry-Aged Porterhouse.  But did you know you can also order some spectacular fish and seafood? Check out one of these hit dishes: Cajun Bleu Stacked Filet with medallions festooned with bleu cheese and confit bacon; Seared Yellowfin Tuna with cucumber kimchi and sushi fritters; and Herb-Crusted Salmon with poached tomatoes and lemon nage.

Morton’s The Steakhouse. Everyone has heard of Morton’s The Steakhouse, but it might almost be called Morton’s The Fish & Seafood house, because although the place made its name on red meat, people have come to appreciate that it’s also a good place for fantastic fish and seafood.  The Morton’s legend is built on USDA prime Filet Mignon, New York Strip and Ribeye, but at many Morton’s locations, you can also enjoy Miso Marinated Sea Bass, Ora King Salmon and Cold Water Lobster Tail…and you will find that this is some of the best fish/seafood available anywhere.

Papi Steak

LT Steak and Seafood.  LT proudly announces that they are the place for steak *and* seafood.  The steaks are awesome: hand selected USDA prime filet mignon, strip, ribeye, and Wagyu skirt steak.  Fish favs include Chermoula Salmon with toasted couscous, bean salad with cumin vinaigrette and the must-try Crispy Black Grouper tacos with chili aioli, cabbage slaw and spicy lime salsa.

Bourbon Steak. There’s a lot more at Bourbon Steak than just the spirit and the steak, though there is plenty of both, along with a breathtaking selection of fish and seafood. To start, there’s half a Maine lobster, one-quarter of a King Crab or (get this!) a Petrossian caviar selection.   For entrées, take advantage of some wonderful fish/seafood selections, including Maine Lobster Pot Pie, Scottish Salmon and Local Snapper (when in Rome, well, you know what to do.)
