Chamberlain's Steak and Chop House - Dallas
Named one of Bon Appetit's top new restaurants shortly after opening in 1993, chef Richard Chamberlain's eponymous steakhouse has garnered stellar reviews and accolades from a number of premier publications such as Gourmet and Wine Spectator.
Signature steak cuts include the roast prime of beef, served with homemade au jus, garlic mashed potatoes and horseradish cream, and a bone-in ribeye dry aged for 40 days. There's also American-raised Kobe beef, which consists of a 12-ounce ribeye and 10-ounce New York strip. Complementary side dishes range from wild mushroom mac and cheese to crispy Brussels sprouts.
The fresh seafood choices are also popular options at Chamberlain's. Non-meat eaters may choose from spice-seared Ahi tuna, scallops and crispy lobster tail with Asian dipping sauce. A special lounge menu consists of offerings such as lobster deviled eggs, crispy kobe beef dumplings and crispy duck cigars.
Speaking of cigars, a retro-luxury den in the rear of Chamberlain's is the place to go for those who want to indulge. Guests may settle in to distressed leather couches and enjoy stogies and scotch.
