Umbria Prime - Boston
The Italian-inspired steakhouse brings together two of Americans' favorite things to eat: pasta and steaks. Oh, and there's plenty of seafood to consume at Umbria Prime, which boasts premium ingredients in all of its dishes.
Of course, the dry-aged prime steaks and chops are the biggest draws at this slick, contemporary eatery, where all the cuts (and seafood) are finished at 1200 degrees in a custom-designed brick oven. That produces premium flavor in selections such as the 16-ounce New York sirloin, Colorado rack of lamb or seven-spice brick chicken. Of note is a 35-day, dry-aged filet mignon that may be ordered as a single or double cut. The Certified Angus Beef goes well with sides like lobster mac 'n' cheese, roasted wild mushrooms or parmesan creamed spinach.
Not consuming red meat? No worries. No meat artisanal pasta dishes as well as seafood options like lobster, sea bass and salmon should satisfy discerning diners. There are also many oyster options, and on certain days, they may be ordered at a discount at the bar.
