Parlor Steakhouse - New York
Parlor Steakhouse, recently renamed Parlor Steak & Fish, serves a downtown residential neighborhood some of the best steak and seafood in the city, as well as some temping weekly offers. The dining room is pleasant, the serving staff indisputably professional, and the selection of proteins ensures that there will be something to please everyone.
Though everyone knows the place as Parlor Steakhouse, this restaurant recently rebranded as Parlor Steak & Fish, has become, as their website explains, “equally a FISHHOUSE as well as a STEAKHOUSE. From whole grilled branzino, dover sole and broiled lobsters to Prime NY Strip, Rib-eye, and Bone-In Milk-fed Veal Chop to name a few, our guests get to dress up their protein with their choice of unique sauces and a choice of side dish.”
“New York” magazine writes that though Parlor Steakhouse “serves standard chicken, lamb and fish entrées, the kitchen’s classic, perfectly cooked filet mignons and juicy rib eye steaks, served with whole cloves of roasted garlic and your choice of sauce, are the highlights of this menu.”

In addition to the expected filet mignons and rib eyes, there’s also a lesser-known bistro fillet, which is a beef shoulder tender cut from the major muscle of the shoulder blade.
Though it’s on the Upper East Side, Parlor Steakhouse goes out of its way to provide value to customers with a series of weekly events. For instance, on Mondays, you can get bottles of wine for half-price, and Monday through Friday, there’s are prix fixe dinners. Nice.
For dessert, expect a wide selection of sweets, including cookies, which for some mysterious reason hardly ever show up on dessert menus, which is a crime, as they are clearly the best desserts on the planet.
