He's best known as "Salt Bae." Nusret Gökçe, a Turkish butcher, chef, restaurateur and social media sensation, owns the Nusr-Et chain of luxury steak houses. In addition to New York, there are outposts in Istanbul, Ankara, D Maris Bay, Bodrum, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

A host of salads at this meat haven are bountiful, meant for sharing, and include a rocket salad, avocado salad, and goat cheese salad. And the juicy meat selections are asado beef ribs, entrecote, marinated sliced beef, beef tenderloin, and Nusr-Et "spaghetti," which is not pasta and instead the restaurant's signature thinly sliced striploin.
Ninety-nine percent of the beef is sourced from highly regarded wagyu producers in the world, and it's all char-grilled, which brings out the flavor of the meat.
