Chazz Palminteri Ristorante Italiano - New York
You loved him in “A Bronx Tale” and you’ll love his new place, Chazz Palminteri Ristorante Italiano. This is an instant classic Italian steakhouse where you can brush with greatness while you chow down on some of the best steak in New York City, USDA prime, prepared and served by professionals who know what they’re doing. You got a problem with that?
A celebrity name over a restaurant door is no guarantee of success, but Chazz Palminteri Ristorante Italiano does provide that guarantee, with some of the finest steak and Italian food in the city. People may go the first time for the big name association, but they keep coming back for some of the finest red meat in the city.
All the steak is USDA prime: filet, rib eye, and chateaubriand, fancied up with a demi-glace (and easily big enough for two, because what’s more romantic than digging into a big hunk of beef together – that’s amore!). If you’re in the mood for meat but not necessarily a big steak, there’s a notoriously delicious hamburger for lunchtime (USDA prime, of course) as well as a lunchtime-sized skirt steak and salad for around $30.

As you might expect, there are some exceptional Italian menu items that might compete with the meat for your attention: fettucine in brandy lobster sauce, mushroom ravioli in black truffle sauce, rigatoni with rapini and sausage, and many other expertly sourced and finely executed Italian mainstays.
Huffington Post felt very comfortable at Chazz Palminteri Ristorante Italiano, reporting “The premises used to be a pizzeria, but you’d never know it now. The décor is sumptuous, graceful, in rich fabrics and colors of Parma gold, with antique brown leather chairs, red tiles, and of course thick tablecloths and linens, with mirrors that open up the space still more. The wine list is 250-label strong, along with Chazz’s own brand of Sicilian BIVI vodka. The maître d’ wears a well-cut tuxedo. And Chazz Palminteri is regularly on premises, greeting old friends and new guests.”
