Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Coral Gables
The Perry family celebrated 40 years in the culinary business in 2019 with the opening of its first-ever restaurant in Florida. With this Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in Coral Gables, it's a chance to showcase a new look for this brand.
What began as a modest meat market in southeast Houston called Perry's Butcher Shop and Deli is now a mini-empire of steakhouses as well as Perry & Sons Market & Grille. There are 19 locations, with three additional ones set to open by 2020.
It's a steakhouse at heart, but Perry's signature pork chop harks back to its origins. Reminiscent of classic butcher shops, each slow-smoked, sizzling prime chop measures seven-fingers high.

The signature recipe for the pork chop has been a staple for 40 years. It's rubbed with a secret blend of seasonings, then cured and roasted on a rotisserie with pecan wood for up to six hours. Finally, it's topped with Perry's signature herb-garlic butter and carved tableside.
Other menu highlights include starters like fried aspargus topped with jumbo lump crab meat; a prime, bone-in New York strip; and surf-and-turf pasta that's served with filet mignon, lobster and tomato basil sauce
Friday is the only weekday lunch is served and it consists of a lunch-cut portion chop served with whipped potatoes and homemade applesauce. On Sundays, diners may come in for a three-course supper for $39 per person. They may choose from a soup or salad, plus get the Perry's Famous Pork Chop and a dessert trio.
