I used to be a regular at City Fish Market and loved that place although the prices were a bit steep. The food was consistently delicious and service outstanding.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same about last night. Our waiter was super nice, but he immediately asked for our order and didn't ask what we would like to drink. Silverware was missing as well.
I ordered the Surf n Turf combo with 1 1/2 lb lobster for $62.00. Buyer be ware. You have to read the fine print. It says 1/2 of 1.5 lb lobster. Fine that's my fault for not reading my menu like a lawyer.
However, my lobster was overcooked. I was starving so went ahead and ate it anyway. The lobster was overcooked, so they must've let my medium filet Mignon sit on the side which got cold by the time my entree arrived.
I did not complain about my steak, but called the manager to inform him about the lobster. He was very understanding and professional about it.
He offered to take it off the bill or replace it.
My lucky day, he replaced it with a whole 1.5 lb lobster.
I'm sorry, it was better 2nd time around, but still not up to City Fish's standard.
The halibut order turned out to be great.
For a nice dining experience, I would recommend staying away from the lobster entrees until the chef masters not to overcook.
Fish entrees have always been consistent, but I think I'll skip this place for a while.
Ambience is always great at City Fish Market.
