Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse Fort Worth

Went here for a wedding reception. This was the first and probably last time I will be going here. The service was truly lacking. Not only was the original menu that was given to the bride with the package not offered but it took over an hour to finally take our orders. Some people never receive a refill on there drinks like the bride and groom. It was a party of 25 peoples and every one wanted a side order but we were told it was family style. Each person ended up getting only a tablespoonful of each side. Some steaks were not distributed to the correct guest and some were inedible. The bride felt like she made a huge mistake choosing this place especially since they have a minimum amount you have to spend for a room rental and she ended up having to take champagne bottles she didn’t care for but was just over it to just to meet the minimum,’ but if each guest would have just gotten there own side like they intended to do then there wouldn’t have been this issue. No they were not busy when we arrived. Also the room was extremely cramped. I don’t think anything about this place would make me try it again.

I’m a HUGE Del Frisco fan, so this review is breaking my heart. This has been my go-to restaurant for big events and celebrations. So naturally we made Mothers Day reservations at the first seating, 11am on Sunday May 8. From the very limited brunch menu, we all ordered the highly recommended Benedict. Given how good all their other sauces have been, I could only imagine how good the hollandaise sauce would be. Plates arrive and in the VERY DARK confines of the wine cellar, I could make out the bread, pork slab/bacon, and aforementioned sauce. A small dollop of dull potato hash and 6 unremarkable green beans completed the plate. What’s missing? It took a while before a seating manager stopped by to check on us. I asked about the missing element. She seemed more amused than horrified that someone forgot to put eggs on all 4 plates. 3/4 into my meal, a small cup of poached eggs arrive. I guess she read the expression on my face, and she quickly delivered 2 full plates of our order (I’m supposing to split). Hard to comment on the taste of the featured meal since it came so discombobulated. The meat was tasty if overly fat - I had a pile of gel next to my green beans. But the meat itself was delicious. Sauce good. The bread was the same as the bread served when we sat, so hardly anything spectacular. And the potato scoop and beans were pedestrian. From a pure value standpoint, the $250 check was so far beyond what I should have paid for what we received, even IF the eggs had been on the original plates. I’ll give them another chance since I have a long history. But for the price, I was so wildly underwhelmed. And NEVER for brunch. Stick with dinner and steak, and I’m sure they are still a legend.

Good food, nice ambiance. The special for 2 is quite nice for 199.00 you get two each appetizers, entrees and desserts. The location is centric close to courts , conventions etc. Reception was good, however for these prices they need to train the entire staff to match the prices and expected service, no refill of drinks unless we asked, filled drinks with whatever was in the carafe had to tell waitstaff twice I had coke and not tea, water etc. The waitress was good and the valet parking is convenient.

LOVE this place. The ambiance is very warm and classy. The building was built in 1890 and was originally a bath house in Hells Half Acre! Its a beautiful building with rich wood accents - very inviting. I don't eat seafood so I can't speak on that but I do love their steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, brussel sprouts and cocktails! The VIP is AMAZING! So smooth and tastes so tropical. I recommend this place for a romantic nice quiet dinner. Parking is very limited so I would recommend using the $7.00 valet service. A Texas classic for sure! Oh and it's rumored to be haunted... especially the upstairs bar area. Just saying!

The ambiance is immediately inviting. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Steaks were phenomenal and perfectly prepared. There was a major breakage by a patron, but the staff was so quick to approach it and have it cleaned thoroughly [i.e. glass] it really raised no heads. Will definitely visit again when in town.

Don’t waste your money here. The food was not good compared to the money I had to pay. We went there on Sunday for our anniversary, the entrance door is very tiny and we kept on the way of people tried to get out of the restaurant. The host was not that professional. The waitress was nice but other than that, nothing worth to come there. We ordered calamari but the sauce they put on the top of calamari was very salty, I though I was having salt in my mouth. My husband order 45 days steak, no taste at all. My order was sea bass and of course, it was salty too. We went to Capital Grill last year and a year before for our anniversary and we loved it, they took an anniversary picture for us and gave it to us right there, they also had free desert with decorations on that and the card too. It was very nice of them to do that. The food was great, we thought we would try a new restaurant this year since we have been at Capital Grill few times. Very disappointed with Del Frisco. Never come back there again.

We enjoyed Del Frisco's Grille. The Youth Serum Cocktail is light and refreshing (not too sweet). Fish and Chips were excellent. Shrimp Cocktail was overcooked but okay. My Red Snapper was way too salty. I should have sent it back.

Most of the food was delicious and good size portion. The only thing that lacked flavor was the salmon. My husband and I shared the $199 Table Tasting for 2. It was plenty of food. Each person gets 1 appetizer each, 2 entrees each, 1 side each( 1 side is for huge,normally could feed 2 or 3 people!), and each 1 dessert. We had to take a dessert home because it was too much food. The complimentary bread was delicious. The VIP drink the waiter recommended was delicious as well. One of the main things that disappointed me was the leniency on dress code. I was there to celebrate my 10 year anniversary and hoped to celebrate in an upscale environment. I dressed up in a dress and my husband in a suit and tie. The dress code is supposed to be business casual, but it seemed like most people came in jeans and sweaters or polos. I felt way over dressed.

The food is always amazing and the service is out of this world. They really take care of you and Ashley was such a great server. She even had the bar make a mocktail for me so that I could have something fun to drink with dinner. We truly felt taken care of there!

This place is awesome. Never had a bad experience coming here. It was hot however in the room we were in, but other than that food was great. If you go, get the bacon appetizer. It's amazing. You will not regret it. I only come here once or twice a year, but it's fabulous!!
