Press - Saint Helena
Press adheres to a local focus as much as possible. Based in St. Helena, it's close enough to the Sonoma Coast to take advantage of all that it has to offer. Press features prime, dry-aged beef, grass-fed Sonoma lamb other meats and seasonal ingredients whenever possible. Other ingredients are sourced from one of the restaurant's two private gardens or from local farmers, markets and neighboring purveyors.
Preparations are also important at Press, which describes itself as a "modern farmhouse." The chef first personally selections all the meats, which are all prepared on a custom, wood-burning grill and rotisserie. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday diners may enjoy the "dinner at the bar" menu, which is $29 per person and consists of two courses. An award winning largely Napa Valley wine list completes the Press experience.
