Brenner's Steakhouse on the Bayou - Houston
The original Brenner's restaurant opened in 1936, but was relocated to make way for the construction of Kay Road. In its new iteration as a steakhouse, Brenner's has garnered a number of awards, both local and national accolades. Among them include the House Press, OpenTable Diners’ Choice Awards, Wine Spectator and Zagat for "most booked restaurant in Houston," "best ambiance, "best service" and "best steakhouse."
The dramatic two-story restaurant boasts a stylish décor, cozy cocktail lounge, wine cellar and spacious patios. It's an ideal setting to indulge in a great steak dinner, and Brenner's features center-cut filet mignon and prime New York strip on the menu. The enhancements aim to take the steaks to the next level. Diners are encouraged to order them with the likes of garlic sriracha butter, truffle butter or Oscar toppings of grilled asparagus, jumbo lump crab and Béarnaise.
Some of the non-steak options offer a touch of Southern flair. Select from Southern fried chicken, Gulf red snapper or chipotle shrimp and grits.
Dress code at the restaurant is business casual: No shorts, hats, flip flops or tank tops.
