Shipwreck Point Point Pleasant Beach steakhouse

My boyfriend and I had reservations yesterday for 7:30 party of 2, we were able to seat at the bar and have some drinks before dinner, finally😊. It was now 7:40 mind you we got there 7:15, table was still not ready and their dinning area by the bar, which was where we were going to be seated seem a bit too crowded, we decided to eat at the bar instead and stools were spread out which was even better. All I have to say is omg, the food was amazing and Kevin the bartender knows the menu like the back of his hand. Drinks were good food was amazing especially the calamari in chili sauce and the ricotta pistachio cake😋😋😋will be back. Thank you for the awesome service Kevin(hope I got his name right😊).

After a long day at the beach, a few friends and I decided to end the day at Shipwreck Point. Excited to be at a beautiful looking establishment we were eager to try out their drinks before heading home. My friends were already there along with my girlfriend who asked me to go inside to grab her a Diet Coke. I placed my order with the kind bartender but moments later, an older man (whom I later find out his name is Rich), spoke over the bar with such hostility and yelled towards me “you have to wear a mask when you’re in here.” After observing his demeanor, it was clear he was either the owner or manager of the restaurant. I understand I was wrong for forgetting my mask; however, that’s no way to talk to a paying customer. What makes matters worst, was that Rich didn’t even have a mask on either. Nonetheless, I apologized for not having it on and immediately placed it over my face. I then proceeded to pay for the diet coke($3.75) and left to go back outside. Feeling frustrated, I decided to go back in to express how his toned effected me. I approached Rich myself and politely asked for his name. After a few moments of hesitating and staring at me with disgust, he finally introduced himself as Rich. I then convey to him that the tone he gave me was offensive, and that as new customer I felt unwelcome and humiliated. In addition, stated that it was absurd for him to point out my lack of a mask being is that he didn’t have one either. I felt downright discriminated. As I made my way out, I was followed by a staff member who acknowledged how Rich spoke to me and that she commended how I handled the situation. She even apologize on how I was treated. From the gesture of the waitress, it was clear that I wasn’t the first person Rich has disrespected. My friends and I came to Shipwreck eager to try the place out but unfortunately exited with a feeling of disgust. I hope no one has to ever go through this kind of experience.

Outstanding! And not in the rain! You made our first dine-out experience since March, most excellent in every way. From our initial encounter with the kind and courteous Hostess, to our awesome Server, Brooke...and the exceptional food, what a night. The Spicy (I think it was Thai-inspired) Calamari was kickin'. The Surf and Turf, fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. Pistachio cake for dessert was the topper. A great experience in every way.

Very accommodating staff and very good food. A little pricey, but I think worth it. Great cocktails! 🍸

The food gets better everytime!! Been going here every year with my wife for our anniversary and never had a bad experience. Amazing place, if you have never been here your missing out.
