Read MoreSince 1979, the Perry Family has been way into high-quality red meat; that was the year they opened Houston's Perry's Butcher Shop and Deli. Ten years later, Chris Perry persuaded his father, Bob, to add some tables, which was the beginning of an expansion that led to the first location of Perry's Steakhouse & Grille. Perry's is now one of the country's premier, award-winning steakhouses, and it has many very popular locations in Denver, Chicago, Birmingham, Miami, Raleigh, Nashville and across Texas...and now Vernon Hills.
Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in Vernon Hills is located on the southwest corner of Ring Drive and Milwaukee Avenue. This sparkling 11,000-square-foot space accommodates up to 350 guests in a dining room designed with modern elegance and comfort.
Though Perry's is a steakhouse, there is a lot on the menu to please all tastes. You can start with Continental options like escargot and cherry pepper calamari, though the standout favorite for many customers is Perry's Famous Pork Chop "Bites," nuggets of porcine deliciousness that will get your taste buds ready for the feast to come...and that feast will frequently center around beef; Perry's beef is spectacular. Yes, there are some wonderful aquatic options -- like cedar plank-fired redfish, chargrilled salmon and pan-seared sea bass -- but the stars are definitely the meatier options, some of which you may never have enjoyed before.
Take the Chateaubriand Three Ways is 8 ounces of premium center-cut filet mignon sliced into medallions and topped with crabmeat, black pepper, and coffee-crust; or check out the Signature Steakhouse Smorgasbord for four, which includes forty ounces of porterhouse, filet mignon, NY strip, Perry's Famous Pork Chops, lamb lollipops, Gulf shrimp and mushrooms. Whew. You get the idea. There's a lot of good stuff to eat at Perry's.
