This multi-tiered dining and drinking destination is housed in a 100-year-old former auto body shop. Chop Shop, based in Bucktown/Wicker Park, offers a number of components that complement each other, including a butcher shop offering cuts from local farms; deli market featuring in-house meats, cheeses, sandwiches, panini, antipasto, salads and grab-and-go items; and restaurant/bar with a seasonally focused menu.

Highlights of the menu are an in-house charcuterie program, raw bar, homemade pastas, prime steak cuts, and an award-winning butcher's burger. An adjoining entertainment venue called 1st Ward is a 6,000-square-foot events space. It features 20-inch ceilings, exposed brick, and a professional on-site production team.

Tried to go to a concert here. Website said doors at 9, show at 10. Arrived to find them saying doors at 11. That time passes, and hundreds of people were still squeezed into the impossibly tight bar space and still not allowed in to the concert stage portion. Dozens were left outside in the 80 degree heat waiting as well. 11:30 rolls around and still the doors are locked. No music, no sign of the show even starting (it was supposed to start NINETY minutes before that!) I had to work in the morning so I left. One, try and be accurate about times on your website. Two, if you have a late show, book and opener? Three, even if something happens and the show is later than expected, don't trap people inside your bar when you have the space available to avoid that! I left without seeing any of the show due to work obligations and wasted my ticket and night. 0/10, would not recommend.

Came for Wednesday happy hour with $1 oysters and 1/2 wine. Notes- the 1/2 off wine is only for certain bottles not glasses of wine. Oysters weren't the best - while they were large they didn't taste the most fresh.

Popped in for a late dinner. Was seated quickly and had a server to the table. Service was friendly, especially close to closing time. Good cocktails and the food was on point. The pork tenderloin was excellent. The short rib pappardelle was solid. Kids enjoyed the chicken Milanese and the smash burger(fries were really good).

90 minute drive from Wisconsin for dinner and concert. SO worth it! One, the place is beautiful. Trendy and unique. Indoor and outdoor options for dining. Tables and booths. Highly recommend the sweet chili breaded cauliflower to start. Incredibly friendly staff. Kyla, our server was GREAT! Bartenders were fun and friendly. Standing room only in the concert area, but not a bad "seat" in the house. Mezzanine area allowed for great view, standing on the floor anywhere left to right, you cant go wrong. If your fav artist is playing you don't want to miss them at the Chop Shop. Had a great time! I'll definitely be back.

Show was great. Really cool venue for an intimate act. Food was ok, smokey margarita was worth ordering again. Server wasn't familiar with adjusting for allergens in the kitchen.

Went to my first show at Chop Shop in 2019- soon thereafter the World shut down due to Covid. It was beautiful to see The Suffers last night. Excellent sound, lighting and atmosphere.
