Pacific Dining Car - Santa Monica
Pacific Dining Car is everything you want in a classic steakhouse. It's been around for a very long time--since 1921 to be exact--making it feel particularly authentic. It's also set in a dining car, offering couples the ultimate romantic experience. Each room features a different atmosphere, from the lounge appeal of the club car to the lush setting of the wine room.
The original location is open 24 hours a day, with breakfast served all day as well as afternoon tea. The lunch/dinner menu consists of classic steakhouse dishes, with starters such as grilled artichokes, shrimp cocktail and sauteed scallops drizzled with lobster sauce.
All steaks are prime-aged corn-fed beef. Cuts range from New York strip to slow-cook short ribs, and they highly recommend pairing a steak with a seafood option. For example, ribeye steak with crab cakes, filet mignon with grilled shrimp or ribeye and Maine lobster tail. Non-seafood dishes range from sauteed Chilean sea bass to grilled half chicken.
Both locations offer complimentary taxi service to the Staples Center, Music Center, Disney Concert Hall and Nokia Theatre.
