Carlitos Gardel Argentine Steakhouse - Los Angeles
Located near West Hollywood, this Argentinian-inspired steakhouse is named in honor of the famed tango musician Carlos Gardel. He perished in a plane crash in 1935, but his name lives on in Carlitos Gardel Argentine Steakhouse. The menu elevates classic Argentine fare with premium ingredients and chef-designed presentations. Hongos, for example, are meaty mushroom caps stuffed with a forcemeat of chicken, breadcrumbs, vegetables and herbs in a red wine sauce. There is also a deep-fried squid appetizer accompanied by a zesty marinara sauce. And a signature is matambre de pollo, boned chicken that's rolled up around a filling of hardboiled eggs, ham and cheese, served sliced, with a classic creamy insalata russa on the side.
