Read MoreEstablished as the Mon RĂªve, an upscale French restaurant built by the late Lou Jenn more than 30 years ago, the building and its grandeur has remained intact. Some of the highlights include the Venus fountain replica, rose garden, restored vintage crystal chandeliers, beautiful woodwork, and 18th and 19th century European-inspired oil paintings.
The menu at The Library Restaurant and Pub is a combination of classic American steakhouse and traditional French fare. Highly recommended are specialty dishes: the slow-roasted prime rib that's available in eight, 12, 16, and 24 ounces (Thursdays through Saturday only); an eight-ounce filet stuffed inside a Portobello mushroom; maple-bourbon pork chop, and petite salmon cakes.
There are also steaks that are hand cut and aged in-house, seafood entrees like jumbo shrimp stuffed with jalapeno, bacon, herbs and cheese; and braised barbecue ribs.
