When new owners--a father-and-son team--Steve and Craig Huse decided to take over in the late 1990s, they completely renovated the restaurant to compete with newer offerings in the area. They added an open kitchen, two private dining rooms and carved out a modern wine cellar to accommodate thousands of bottles.
The menu is composed of steaks, chops and seafood, with highlights such as a 38-ounce bone-in prime rib and 28-ounce Porterhouse. The three-course Sunday dinner is especially popular with diners. It's $40 with the filet mignon as the main course or $30 for fish or chicken.
