Eddie Merlot's - Fort Wayne
The Fort Wayne, Ind., outpost for Eddie Merlot's is the top restaurant at Jefferson Pointe Shopping Center, a mid-range mall featuring the likes of White House/Black Market, Victoria's Secret and Gymboree.
Eddie Merlot's is very wine focused and contemporary in style. It was founded by Bill Humphries, a well-known wine connoisseur who named the restaurant chain after one of his favorite dining companions. Humphries went on to open locations in a number of cities in the Midwest and South, including this outpost in Fort Wayne. Each location is distinct in look, but all feature vibrant artwork certain to be conversation starters.
All steaks are aged a minimum of 21 days, hand-selected and primarily cut in-house. They range from a 16-ounce bone-in filet mignon to a bison filet mignon or bone-in bison ribeye.
Non-meat options include vegetarian pan-seared gnocchi, cedar-roasted salmon and crab-stuffed shrimp. All dressings for the salads are made in house. .
