Harry and Izzy's Downtown - Indianapolis
Lifelong friends Harry Roth and Izzy Rosen -- who established the famed St. Elmo Steak House -- are honored at this modern American steakhouse that bears their name and resemblance. The atmosphere here is more casual than St. Elmo Steak House, and in addition to this downtown location, there are outposts on the north side and in the airport.

Diners get two steak choices: Black Angus beef that's been raised in the upper Midwest plains, and USDA prime cuts that have been aged for about 45 days. Highlights range from a 14-ounce New York strip to 18-ounce bone-in ribeye. There's also smoked pork chops, another big favorite here. There are also hand-made pastas, seafood entrees, and thin-crust pizzas from which to choose.
