This is probably one of the best steaks I've had in quite awhile. Celebrating our anniversary, we decided to splurge a little with cost and it was worth it! I got the butcher's cut (Sabaton) and the taste was wonderful. I added mushrooms and onions. My husband got the New York strip and he agreed it's the best he's had as well. We shared rolls and french fries as the portions were large. The ambiance is just what we were looking for and really made our evening. If you are looking for someplace to celebrate, this is definitely it. We will definitely return to Spencer's!

I Can Plan Travel recommended Spencer's for our anniversary. It was a nice romantically lit atmosphere with great seating to be able to sit close and talk while we ate. Staff was super friendly and made wonderful suggestions when helping us make up our minds in our dinner and dessert selections. Water glasses never went below half full. Very attentive service!

Best French Dip I have EVER HAD! Wow, all i can day, to call it a french dip doesn’t do it justice. More like a Prime Steak Sandwich! Will definitely be back for not only that, but the great drinks and convo i had at the bar with Mustafa. Service, atmosphere, and amazing food! Spencer’s literally has it all. Highly recommend, especially for solo diners looking for a good bar to eat at!

ADDENDUM TO LAST REVIEW: Visited Spencer's again on the Saturday before Mother's Day 2022. We were excited to dine there again, as our previous experience was so pleasurable...but alas, this second visit was rather miserable. Despite there being few diners, they grouped everyone into one section of the restaurant. The tables were so close together that I had to literally...I mean LITERALLY...climb up and stand upon the chair closest to the aisle and step from that chair to mine, and then had to awkwardly slide down into my chair, pinned in with little to no space between the table and my torso (and I'm not a heavy-set guy). It was so claustrophobic that I nearly had an anxiety attack. Then, the service was slow, our dishes were either undercooked or overcooked, and two of the dishes weren't even what we ordered (but we didn't send them back as we just wanted to eat and exit the restaurant with haste). Add to that, we waited for what seemed an eternity to get our bill...which we were eager to receive. We shall not be returning. Had family visiting and we all had dinner at Spencer's last night. Absolutely fantastic! The menu selection was impressive, all our meals were delicious, the drinks were superb, and the staff couldn't have been nicer & more attentive! When we left and were in the Hilton's main lobby, our server Erik came running out after us and handed me my cell phone that I had forgotten on the table! Honestly, Spencer's is one of the best dining experiences I've had in Salt Lake City. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious. Our server, Jessica, was amazing and made us feel welcome. Her recommendations were spot on and she made our experience enjoyable. Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly (I didn't even need the sauce I added although it was delicious too). The sides (we got mac and cheese and potatoes au gratin), crab and spinach dip appetizer, and cheesecake were all fantastic. Definitely one of the top steak restaurants I've ever been to.
