Nusr-Et Steakhouse Dallas - Dallas
Nusret Gökçe -- better known as "Salt Bae" -- is a Turkish chef, food entertainer, and restaurateur. He's behind Nusr-Et, a chain of luxury steakhouses across the globe, including this outpost in Dallas.
Read MoreIt's a wonder Gökçe's hyped-up destination generated so much publicity in a city known for so many local steakhouse concepts. But on the grand-opening weekend, in March 2021, lines formed down the street in the Arts District and reservations were impossible to obtain because the Salt Bae himself made personal appearances.
The menu is consist with what you'll find at all Nusr-Et locations. There's fish sushi and meat "sushi." There's also Nusr-Et's version of spaghetti, which is actually thinly sliced striploin, and the signature Golden Tomahawk, consisting of 24K gold-coated beef for $1,100. Additional specialties include the eight-hour roasted asado short rib as well as a tenderloin sliced and griddled on a hot plate with melted butter.
All beef at Nusr-Et is char-grilled, and 99 percent is sourced from the top wagyu producers in the world. Surprisingly, there's a cheeseburger, meatball with cheese, and taco burger on the menu. They're the least expensive dishes and range $30 to $40.
