Bob's Steak and Chop House Plano steakhouse

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! So much so, that my husband and I drove all the way from Kansas! The prime filet mignon is DELICIOUS! And the dirty bob martinis are phenomenal!!! Aside from the food and drinks, GREG is an EXCEPTIONAL waiter!! We've had him twice and will ask for him every time we go, awesome guy!

Expectations were high and yet recieved an average steak for the most expinsive steak on the menu. Now dont get me wrong it was well seasoned and tasty , just a not as tender as i thought it would be. We had bobs chop house cater our wedding so we come every year for our wedding anniversary. Now my wife had the specialty 17 oz lobster and let me tell you that was the best thing ever tasted. Dang that was good. Everything else was tasty as expected. As usual the service was top tier. The atmosphere is not so much on the romantic side and was more on the loud side but thats to be expected when the crowd is happy. 3 stars just because the tough 110$ steak.

25+ year diner of Bobs. From the original in Lemon Ave to the one at the Shops of Legacy. Always have been pleased and NEVER disappointed, but tonight “, I can finally say I have had my last meal there. What used to always be consistent has turned into a disappointment. First, they need to learn how to make an old fashion, especially when charging $17. I typically get a martini so perhaps that was my bad. Also typically get their shrimp appetizer which never disappoints, but decided to try the crab cake. Not fresh. Learned the crab comes from a can. For $20. Meh Ordered a 12 oz and they brought me a 9oz which was more like an 8oz. (I’ve been eating steaks now for 40+ years, I know the difference.). The woman who was not my server claims it was 12 oz said the 9oz was more like a “hockey puck”. After discussions with the manager and my server, it turned out I was correct and the kitchen messed it up. But the steak was just ok. It wasn’t bad. It was good. But it wasn’t great. Not exceptional to what I am used to. I come to Bob’s because it is always GREAT. But now they have marginalized it and have turned into “acceptable”. And for me, when I am expecting “exceptional”, acceptable won’t do. I will think twice before spending my money here again. But 20+ years is a long time. Maybe it was just an off night.

We went here on Saturday and loved it! The food was fantastic and our server was one of the best I have ever had. He made great recommendations, was very knowledgable about the menu, and checked on us just enough. I recommend trying to get a booth, they are very comfy and made it very easy to have a conversation with our dinner companions. I had the filet, which was fantastic. We also got the creamed corn and spinach, which were amazing. I can't wait to go here again.

This is everything we ever wanted in a steak house. The best ever meat, with melt in your mouth tenderloins, a fabulous blue cheese wedge salad, great wine selection, bourbon with a big rock. Servers with real names that are there for the long haul. And a personal table visit from the manager. Also, the crème brûlée is delicious. We celebrate life there on a regular basis with our friends

Just happened to come across this restaurant since we were in the area, best experience we've ever had. This place has excellent food, excellent customer service and overall a wonder flow. This is the perfect example of you get what you pay for. Bonus was just feeling like we belonged. The Owner even made time to speak to us while the staff was perfectly on point.
