Guests are treated to a truly rustic experience at the Barn Door Restaurant, a steakhouse-focused concept that's been around for almost 70 years in San Antonio's Uptown Broadway neighborhood. Throughout the space, you'll find accents reminiscent of a horse barn, from a porcelain jockey welcoming guests at the host stand to an abundance of vintage hard wood accents.

It's important to note, for those ordering steaks, that the in-house butcher shop hand cuts each steak and ages them for the best flavor profiles. The butcher shop will also customize steaks for guests. Each steak is broiled over mesquite and charcoal fire, and choices include a bone-in rib-eye, New York strip, porterhouse, medium filet and tenderloin.
There are also a host of seafood entrees available at The Barn Door. Choose from crispy catfish fillets, a fried seafood platter or mesquite jumbo shrimp. Diners may have the option to blacken any of the seafood offerings. Additional non-steak entrees include chicken fried chicken, creamy herb pasta and the signature burger, which consists of a lean, chopped sirloin patty that's grilled and served between house-made buns. .
The burger is also available during lunch, which features additional sandwiches like a tenderloin sandwich, classic Reuben and chicken burger.
