We had a lovely brunch. The mules were very good with a fun presentation. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were the best I've ever had. I had...

Probably our best meal in Charleston, thanks to the combination of food, service and atmosphere. We sat in the elegant and quiet back room, which felt like a balm after escaping the busy East Bay Street hustle and bustle. Right away we noticed and enjoyed the live jazz playing in the bar area next door. And then the service and our meals were excellent from start to finish. Amid all the trendier types of dining you come across, it was refreshing to experience classy, old-school (but not stodgy) fine dining.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner + welcome reception at High Cotton in February and had an amazing time. Kevin did a great job of helping us plan the event. He was responsive, professional, and generous. We rented the back room for dinner for 35 people; the food was top notch & our glasses were always full of prosecco & water. After a two-hour dinner, they quickly turned over the dining room to be an open space, adding a bar outside on the back patio, and threw a party for 90 people. The bartenders were always available to pour drinks, space was perfect, large enough to accommodate 90 while creating an intimate atmosphere. When it felt too early to end the party at 10:30, they were happy to stay open for another half hour. Overall, a great time. High Cotton is a top-notch restaurant, and we highly recommend hosting an event there.

A week ago, my siblings were visiting for my Father’s 83rd Birthday, and we chose High Cotton as they have that wonderful smaller Dining Room which is smaller. My Dad can hear better when there’s less background noise. We had an amazing evening. Nicole was wonderful … making sure our table was just right. We had great waiters, great drinks, and the food was OUTSTANDING! In addition, the restaurant brought my Dad a selection of desserts as a surprise (to all of us)! We had a blast being together in such a wonder setting with such a fantastic meal My husband and I will be going back again very soon. Thank you High Cotton for such a memorable evening, and I hope in our enthusiasm we didn’t chase any other diners away😂😂😂. PS Everyone in our family except my Dad and husband have gluten issues, and they were able to accommodate us without any problem at all!

This place is lovely. Very nice environment. The food was excellent. Staff were kind and go above and beyond to make you happy. Seafood was fresh and steak was cooked perfectly. We mentioned it was our anniversary and we were given glasses of champagne on the house. Plan to dress accordingly. Not a place for flip flops and jeans.

Y’all. We rolled up to this place with no reservations and 16 people. Ten of those were kids under 12. Not only did they seat us but opened a closed part of the restaurant for us to dine. Our waitress had three other tables of her own when she was handed us. She and everyone else delivered exceptional service, big time. Being in the service industry is about people and they have some of the best. Will always remember this great experience. Oh and the food was fantastic - get the ribeye, sprouts and she crab soup.
