22 Bowens Wine Bar and Grille - Newport
Located on the wharf, 22 Bowens Wine Bar and Grille is one of the most upscale eateries in the area that offers views of the water. It attracts an eclectic crowd of hot shots who come for drinks and/or dinner in a setting that's sleek and modern. There's also a second level reserved for private events. It features panoramic views of Newport Harbor.
The menu is very contemporary steakhouse focused, with gluten-free offerings as well. All steaks are thoughtfully sourced, hand-selected and aged from the best programs available such as U.S.D.A. prime and sustainable farms. Specialties range from the Native Littleneck clam pasta to a filet mignon that's accompanied by pommes puree, haricot vert, mushroom bordelaise and whipped bleu cheese.
Each summer 22 Bowens opens Portside, an open-air, harborside bar with its own cocktail and food menu.
