Mike Ditka's Pittsburgh steakhouse

We don't eat meat but we still find ourselves at Ditkas steakhouse! Service was just ok, intermittent and not very attentive. We even had to ask for dinner...

We made a reservation after the steelers home opener and arrived late. They still let us in 30 mins before closing and sat us down and we enjoyed every second of our date at Ditka's. Definitely will return. The food was phenomenal and so was the service.

Updated August 2022: I used to love this place for the impeccable service, but after my most recent visit I won't be back for a while. Had reservations for a Friday evening. Was seated immediately and given brunch menus (it was dinner service). Waited for 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging my table and finally left. There were only 5 other tables at most with diners, so definitely not busy. 2017: Steaks are always top-notch. Mac and cheese is a must-get every time I visit.

Ditka's is a place I learned about many years ago while traveling to Chicago and it was something I wanted to try, possibly for the nostalgia of Mike Ditka...

I’ve eaten here a handful of times and enjoyed myself and the food. My parents love this place, so I have bought gift cards for them previously. I currently live out of state; recently, instead of physically buying storefront while visiting PA, I called to purchase a gift card and have it sent to my parents. The manager, Jeff, was incredibly helpful with the ordering process and arranging the mailing. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Very overhyped. The wait staff were great and the presentation was nice but i cant seem to find justification for the price. The mark-ups are incredibly high. For that I expect the bar staff to know what they are doing and not serve a $17 drink that only taste like bitters. Dive bars do better. I enjoyed my Delmonico coffee steak very much but I still can’t justify the $56 price tag when the other dishes are unremarkable. The shrimp cocktail, crab bisque, béarnaise sauce and crème brûlée were all very average and really did not taste premium. I suggest Willow in Avonworth or Breakneck in Mars, who serve similar premium fare for somewhat less mark-up and have more variety. I was surprised because I showed up intending to pay a lot for an impressive meal, yet they have a small $10 salad called the Mark Salad. It was delicious with vinaigrette, pecans, goat cheese and craisins. I didn’t expect the lowest price tag on my check to outrun all the others. It was excellent. I have no issue spending $200+ per person on dinner but I expect more consistency.

My wife and I love dining here. The place is beautiful, atmosphere is perfect, even elegant. The staff make you feel like a VIP the whole time. Food is delicious and precisely prepared. Very good! I attended a private party with 20 people. The staff was very well organized. Everything took place in a timely manner. The food was very good. Everything was prepared and presented very nicely. I would definitely recommend to anyone with a small gathering or for a personal night of dining.

Was visiting for work. I passed by and decided to check it out. Great food! Very friendly staffs. Loved it.
