Situated in the middle of downtown Philadelphia's Center City's thriving entertainment district, this lively Ocean Prime outpost is a popular dining destination. The modern American restaurant and lounge is a concept from renowned restaurateur Cameron Mitchell.

Those planning to visit the ritzy Ocean Prime steakhouse should definitely step up their game when it comes to apparel. No athletic gear is allowed, and the staff encourages that guests dress in their best.

The menu is comprised of seafood and prime cuts of steaks and chops. Highlights include blackened Pacific grouper, pork Porterhouse and a 16-ounce Kansas City strip. For more budget bites, head to Ocean Prime during happy hour (4-7pm Monday through Friday) for deals on cocktails, wine, beer and a number of maki rolls.

This place was absolutely amazing. My husband and I made reservations for our anniversary and from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. Service from our server Liz and her assistants was exceptional, food was exquisite! Dynamite Rolls we recommended by Liz and they were exactly that, DYNAMITE! Ambiance was romantic, rose petals on the table, food delivery was amazing! Drinks and soup poured at the table, different water selections including sparkling! We just had an absolutely wonderful time and can't wait to go back again! We will be requesting Liz for our next reservations!

What a wonderful experience we had at Ocean Prime Philly! From beginning to end the staff made our visit enjoyable across the board. Our server Denise was magnificent. Her beautiful personality and bright smile, brought light to the room and made our time at OP Philly memorable. Special thanks to managers Jerome, Nick and Ryan who made sure the details were executed with excellence from planning to production. If you haven’t yet, please stop by and visit. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Great service, good sides, disappointing entrees. The highlight of dining at Ocean Prime was the great staff providing exceptional service. The house Prime Manhattan was tasty, but weirdly made: it was shaken. Who shakes a Manhattan? Was Ian Fleming involved? Then we get to the food, which was a mixed bag. The sushi rolls were tasty, but the rice was smooshy. The calamari was overcooked. The seafood tower was okay. The French onion soup was too salty. The rib eye desperately needed salt. The lobster tail was overcooked. These are really basic errors that you shouldn't see at this level and price point. The Prime salad and sides were really good though. So that's my recommendation: if you find yourself dining at Ocean Prime, skip the overpriced, disappointing entrees and stick to the salad and sides.
