Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse - Pittsburgh
Although the name tells patrons what to expect, there’s more to try in Eddie Merlot’s than the exceptionally good wines. Their hand-selected in-house steaks are all aged a minimum 21 days, ranging from a 16-ounce prime ribeye to a 16-ounce bone-in filet
The Hyde Park Restaurant Group is behind Jekyll's Kitchen, ML Tavern, Stack City Burger Bar and most notably the Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse. Its original location opened in 1988 in Upper Arlington, which is five miles from The Ohio State University campus and only 10 minutes from downtown. There are six additional outposts in Ohio, as well as locations in Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
The celebrity and local personality magnet is known to be the "see and be seen" destination and it has everything to do with the food as well as the happy hour in the bar. Steak offerings come in a variety of classic and Noveau styles, including steak a la Oscar, steak au Poivre and Tournedos au bleu. Happy hour martinis, cocktails and bar plates start at $5 in the bar.
The Pittsburgh outpost is located downtown between PNC Park and Heinz Field on the North Shore. It features four private and semi-private dining areas accommodating groups from six to 125 guests.
