PRICEY!!! However, the food was very good and the atmosphere was nice. Our server was excellent. I really enjoyed the background music. Parking was a nightmare due to the Grandview Gallery Hop.

Went here recently for the first time and absolutely LOVED the experience. The entire staff was very nice and polite, and our waiter Matthew was very helpful and attentive. I don’t think there was a single thing we ordered that I disliked. The ribeye special was absolutely delicious as well as my espresso martini, would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to go back sometime and have another great experience like this one :)

Great service, great food, great location, cleanliness, and panache makes a restaurant great. What gives it 5 stars, in my opinion, is the clientele it attracts - this gives it a vibe. The Avenue meets my basic requirements and attracts such a unique client base - at the bar, I talked to the owner of a 100 year old concrete company, and a personal injury attorney. Both conversations were serendipitous; a testament to Guy Debord's dérive. The Caesar salad came out promptly, decent portion, great taste, and had the available option of anchovies, which I declined, but maybe should have tried. The filet was cooked to perfection and seasoned appropriately - I smoke a lot of meat and cook a lot of my own filet and this was great. The mashed potatoes were ok - whipped well, no chunks or overwhelming starch taste; however, not much flavor other than the butter placed on top. I had two Brooklyn cocktails and they were absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back to experience it all.

I could best describe the atmosphere here as....where Frank Sinatra would have come for a strong martini at happy hour if he lived in Ohio. Old school...

Great atmosphere, reminded me of an old 1920s/30s style restaurant. Our waiter was Yousef is probably the best wait I have ever personally had. He was great and everything you want in customer service. All the staff were friendly and said hello to us. Will return in the future

Great presentation and atmosphere and service. The appetizers are really tasty and great cocktails. The steak was a steak. The filet was tender and had a nice sear, but it lacked salt/pepper. I was all in on this restaurant but they use INSTANT MASHED POTATOES which is a huge turn off considering I am spending $$$. I just wish they would not have taken the short cut there because everything else was so good!

My visit was May 11, 2022. The Avenue Steak Tavern is overpriced and overrated. The service is great but the food is not the best. I ordered veal. It was burned on the edges and very, very, thin. I have cooked veal all my life. This was the thinnest piece of veal I've ever had. Veal should be intense with flavor. This was NOT. Mostly, I tasted the breading and sauce. I will say the side of pasta was tasty and the salad was fresh. However, if I had know this in advance, I would not have bothered to patronize this establishment. Don't waste your money dining at The Avenue Steak Tavern.

Atmosphere is very nice, the service was great, and the food was very good. I personally thought it was a little pricey for what it was but you'll have that now, overall really no complaints. Will definitely revisit to try more of their delicious food.
