The long-time institution that started in Columbus, Ohio, was founded by a well-known wine enthusiast and businessman in the area. Eddie Merlot's, of course, positions itself as a very wine-focused steakhouse, and diners may view some of their most prized wines on display on a wall.
In addition to its particular attention to wine, Eddie Merlot's specializes in prime-aged steaks and fresh seafood. All steaks are aged a minimum of 21 days, hand-selected and primarily cut in-house. All steaks are hormone, antibiotic and steroid-free, and range from a 16-ounce bone-in filet mignon to a 16-ounce prime ribeye. There are also "reserve" cuts, including Greg Norman's signature wagyu.
Families will also find Eddie Merlot's a good place to take the kids. A special menu reserved for little ones under 12 highlights such favorites as prime cheeseburger sliders, chicken fingers and a four-ounce filet mignon.
