Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - New York

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse comprises three floors serving some of New York City’s best steaks, USDA prime (what else?!) right in the thick of it all, Midtown Manhattan. Hand-cut dry-aged beef is the undisputed show-stopper, but there’s also a great deal of excellent seafood and wine. Service is discreet, attentive and highly professional.

With floor-to-ceiling windows offering gorgeous vistas of Sixth Avenue and Rockefeller Center, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse can take your breath away – and that’s before you even catch a glimpse of the magnificent steaks.

As this is the New York City flagship location of the Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse empire, everything is a little bigger and, most would say, better than you’ll find in most other cities and most parts of NYC. Of course, there’s a seafood plateau to start, but there’s also a caviar service, seared Hudson Valley foie gras and Wagyu Carpaccio. Classy.

When it comes to steak, the selection is focused and fantastic. There’s a Wagyu tomahawk chop, and the usually delicious filet mignon and ribeye selections, but if you’re in the mood for the best of the best (because…New York), consider the 45-day dry-aged ribeye or strip. Red meat does not get much better than this.

The wine selection is also big and mind-blowing; as wine critic Eric Asimov wrote in the “New York Times,” Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse wine list is “exemplary in depth and breadth. It is heavy with robust reds and expensive cult wines for an expense-account clientele chasing brand names and prestige. But if a wine-lover from Bushwick, Brooklyn, or even a banker with renegade tastes should happen into Del Frisco’s, they would be quite pleased.” There is also, of course, a sizeable menu of cocktails, made by bartenders who know what they’re doing.

The “Business Insider” voted Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse Wall Street’s Favorite Restaurant, and it’s perfect whether you’re a power broker talking deals or just a tourist who wants a taste of the kind of top-shelf steak they serve in one of the greatest cities in the world.
