If you went to Keens Steakhouse, you may be tempted by the large King’s cut, but you should focus on the porterhouse and the mutton chop. The porterhouse is not wet in butter like Peter Luger’s. The porterhouse should be shared by four, but Keen’s Mona Lisa is the mutton chop. It is a two-pound of aged lamb that was a famous dish. It is the only place still serving it in New York City. Keens Steakhouse is best for aged dry steak. All their steaks are hand-picked and made with the perfect process of dry-aged steak.

They have many options about dry-aged steaks in their menu, such as:

  • Legendary Mutton Chop

They are also famous for their legendary mutton chop and classic aged dry steak. Their steak quality, steak cuts, and cooking is good. It is a classic steakhouse restaurant; and their food price is also great (relatively, for New York City). The cost is $51 for their legendary mutton chop and $66 for Prime rib beef.

It is a Steakhouse, but also it is a place full of classic things more like a museum. So, you can see rare artifacts and learn about the past. It fully embraces its lore and history but not like the main attraction. Their steak is good, but it does not embrace keens lore and history. In natural history, you would not see the hanging out T-Rex by the vending machine in the museum, you will have to work like your way to the keens meat. If your table is in the two-floor dining room, then you will see many antiques, such as – a playbill of Abraham Lincoln, old guns, or grandfather clocks. If you cross the ceiling, that is covered more than 45,000 smoking pipes. These smoking pipes belonged to members of the Keens Pipe Club.

Many people have questioned whether Keens Steakhouse has any dress code. They do not any dress code. Everyone can wear clothes of their own choice.  Note that it is a cash-only restaurant. This old restaurant is full of beef and fresh meat. But, you can’t, or shouldn’t ignore their popular aged lamb; it’s the only place it town you can get it!
