Las Vegas is all about the extra razzle-dazzle. From attire to attractions, the city is unabashedly over-the-top, and it’s what draws tourists and diners from across the globe. This is certainly true of its steakhouses too, which know how to up the ante on beef by accenting different cuts with all sorts of lavish add-ons, sauces and sides. Here are six great examples of Las Vegas steakhouses that really have a knack for opulence.

SW Steakhouse: Located in the majestic Wynn Las Vegas, this stunning steakhouse features a number of lavish enhancements for its top-tier steaks. This includes supplements like foie gras, peppercorn shrimp scami and Alaskan king crab Oscar. Considering the quality of the cuts of Japanese Wagyu that the restaurant uses, along with domestic Wagyu from Snake River Farms, this is quite a nifty way to gild the lily. Don’t forget to start with caviar service or a seafood tower brimming with crab, oysters, shrimp and lobster. 

Cut: Famed chef Wolfgang Puck brought his Beverly Hills steakhouse sensation, Cut, to Las Vegas for his first spin-off at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino. Here, the culinary maestro mixes his Italian heritage with steakhouse tradition to masterful and decadent results. Wild field mushrooms, bone marrow and fried organic eggs are a few things that can be added to any of the steaks, of which there are many to choose from. Then there’s the steak sauces, which run the gamut from shallot-red wine Bordelaise and Armagnac-green peppercorn to wasabi-yuzu kocho butter and Argentine chimichurri. 

Edge Steakhouse: This property in the Westgate Resort & Casino oozes elegance, most evidently in its dinner selections and steak enhancements. Bone marrow bordelaise, Maine lobster tail and Alaskan king crab are a few optional add-ons to any of Edge’s impeccable steaks, like Japanese A5 Wagyu or Kansas-bred Angus filet mignon. The sides are indulgent as well, like short rib mac & cheese, broccolini enriched with lemon-parsley butter and truffle fries with dill and sun-dried tomato-pepper aioli. 

Top of Binion’s Steakhouse: Located on the 24th floor of Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel, this is the one Las Vegas steakhouse that literally goes over-the-top when it comes to its food. This includes appetizers like chicken fried lobster and escargots en croute. Then any of their steaks, from 10-oz. filet mignons to 24-oz. bone-in prime rib, come with your choice of bordelaise, peppercorn or bearnaise sauce. Cajun blackening is also available for diners who’d like some added spice. 

Andiron Steak & Sea: One of the most stylish, trendy newcomers to the Las Vegas steak scene, Andiron Steak & Sea fits right in with its penchant for tasteful excess. Its eclectic menu is also one of the more unique and distinctive in town, with plates ranging from fried chicken bao buns and avocado toast to hamachi crudo and Serrano-crusted salmon. The brief but high-quality steak selection, which includes the likes of 9-oz. flat-irons and 20-oz. cowboy rib-eyes, comes with sauce options like house steak sauce, bearnaise, green peppercorn and chimichurri. Don’t miss the savory jalapeño bacon churros as a side dish, with white cheddar powder. 

Stripsteak: Chef Michael Mina is internationally renowned for good reason. One visit to his Las Vegas steakhouse Stripsteak will confirm why. The chef has a real knack for seasonality, pristine freshness and presentation, all while putting his own wholly original stamp on the beefy pastime. All steaks are prepared on the wood-fired grill, imbuing a rich aroma to each cut, and Mina rounds them out with a wide array of optional supplements. These include classics like steak sauce and lobster tails, as well as offbeat add-ons like foie gras butter, black truffle butters, grilled foie gras, chipotle-infused chimichurri and fresh Burgundy black truffles.
