Steakhouse 85 - New Brunswick

Appealing to couples and aspiring couples on first dates, Steakhouse 85 features a prix-fixe "Date Night" menu every Friday. It consists of three courses, plus a side dish to share and a bottle of wine for $99. Highlights of the menu include a Honeycrisp apple salad, free-range pork chop and caramel apple tart.

Diners will also find deals for those rolling single at Steakhouse 85. Happening 4-6:30pm Monday through Friday, it's an ideal way to wind down a hectic day with discounted drinks and bite bites. Those range from Blue Point oysters to sliders shaped as footballs.

The regular menu features chilled seafood towers (filled with options like snow crab, shrimp cocktail, oysters and clams on the half shell), prime steaks and chops. There are also classic seafood dishes such as stuffed crab-stuffed shrimp, jumbo lump crab cakes and twin lobster tails.

Menus which light up we're not just appreciated, but were a first time Innovation that every restaurant should follow. The greeter was superb with his friendly and accommodating style. The food was delicious, although the steak was a bit over seasoned and salty. Still, the service, atmosphere, live music and overall experience was very much worth the trip.

I was there yesterday for my birthday with my family and friends. The food was top notch, the service was excellent and the ambience was wonderful. Our server, Jessica was the best. She attended all our needs and made me feel special. Jessica, you rock!!!! I will definitely be back again.

Christie the bartender was so nice as is the rest of the team. It's a great place to have a relaxed drink in a cool environment and get out from the heat. I walked here from my apartment and can't wait to come back! Thank you for a nice Sunday evening experience 😌

Had a great meal there with my parents and we all loved everything we ate. Great apps and sides and some excellent steaks. Nice variety all around including cocktails. On top of that everyone working there was very friendly and helpful.

Wow, from start to finish - the dining experience was amazing. Paul was our server and when he was describing each dish to us, I couldn’t help but want to try them all! We did the “date night” pre fixe and it was such a generous amount. The food was amazing and we are already planning our next visit!

LOVE IT. Kicks the s*** out of any chain Steakhouse I've ever been to. It's a very busy place, though. You likely won't get quiet here but the food is so good you won't care. They do have private dining available. The food is amazing. They do steak/seafood combos which is a great way to do surf and turf without being limited to a strict menu. You will not be disappointed. Bring the cash though - you will pay for the quality as with any upscale steakhouse.

This is my wife and I special place. We come here for anniversary or birthday's. As always they never disappoint. The sides are shareable and the main course meat is fantastic.

I was here on Saturday and I’ve never had a steak so flavorful in my life. Super juicy just the way I like it and the service was good too. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because There was a mix up with my partners food, but other than that everything was good and definitely going back again!

Have been meaning to get here for a long time and it totally delivered. The service and food were both first class. It was my daughters birthday and we were celebrating her. From the minute we arrived, EVERYONE wished her a Happy Birthday. Just attentive caring service. Now comes the food, just great. Short Rib dumplings were stellar and my Delmonico was cooked and aged to perfection. Blue Cheese sauce on the side was just the right indulgence. My daughter had the Cowboy with the foie butter. Decadent perfection! Truffle tots and creamed spinach were stellar sides as was the 85 sauce. Too full for dessert but they brought over a birthday candle laden ice cream. Just great food, atmosphere, and amazing service. It’s been added to the roster.

I have been to Steakhouse so many times. Love their food and excellent customer service and wait staff always. I just had a private event dinner for my husbands birthday yesterday. I coordinated everything with the event coordinator Natalie Bien months ago. She was by far the sweetest, kindest and easiest person to work with. Not once did she hesitate to answer any questions and ensured the room looked as I described. Our Waitress for the evening was Grace and she too was amazing!! Thank you so much ladies for making my husband’s event a beautiful and memorable one. You guys are AMAZING!!

Phenomenal! We went out to celebrate my brother's birthday and it made my week. Their steaks were superb (obviously) but their lobster mac and cheese and waffle dessert really made my jaw drop. Everything, ranging from the servers to the takeout bags, was excellent. Their menus even lit up! If I could afford to do this once a week, I would definetly go.

My husband and I frequent the steakhouse on special occasions, it’s our favorite place to go. The food and service never disappoints. Last weekend I had my wedding reception here and it went above and beyond my expectations. The service was amazing and everyone’s food was cooked to their liking. Natalie did an amazing job from the planning of the event, all the way to the end. She made sure everything was perfect. Thank you all so much, we will see you soon!!

I love coming here! You are greeted with a friendly face when you come and go. The food is excellent! The staff are courteous, attentive and personable. You always feel like its a special occasion with the way you are treated. I wonder what they would do if it was a special occasion since I can't imagine anything else that can be done.

The staff and owner are amazing. Piano player live with a beautiful well stocked bar. A menu to rival that of Manhattans steakhouses. Great time, great food, great atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and get a side of the maple bacon thick cut. You won’t be disappointed.

Hi, we could get a table on Christmas Eve even though the restaurant was bustling this was very helpful. My critique is only based on the food served. The food was average at best, given this is a fine dining establishment. The steak $99 was under seasoned and not a great cut of beef. The appetizers were average as well. The kid's meals were chicken fingers and pasta. We had better at local pizzerias. Overall very underwhelmed. We won't be back.
