To complement the gathering-spot atmosphere, executive chef Bobby Hodge has created starters that are ideal for sharing. That includes grilled Spanish octopus, oysters Rockefeller, and a meat and cheese board.
Hodge's reputation for supporting local farmers is also a big draw at Oak Steakhouse. Local purveyors include Tega Hills Farm (Fort Mill, S.C.), Chapel Hill Creamery (Chapel Hill, N.C.), Spring Mountain (Baldwin, Ga.), Heritage Farms Cheshire Pork (Goldsboro, N.C.) and Sunny Creek (Tryon, N.C.).
On the entree menu, diners will find a fresh market catch of the day, jumbo lump crab cakes, a signature burger, plus classic steaks likes the 22-ounce dry-aged bone-in rib-eye. Behind the bar are local craft beers, domestic and global wines, and seasonal cocktails.
