St. Louis is known for toasted ravioli and St. Louis pizza, but the city is also home to some of the best steak in the Midwest.

Here’s a listing of ten of the best steakhouses in St. Louis, and if you visit the city, and you love steak, you can’t afford to miss them.

Citizen Kane’s Steakhouse serves locally beloved toasted ravioli, but for your main, you want a red meat classic like a Delmonico ribeye or the tenderloin medallions.

1904 Steakhouse proves you can win big, beautiful steaks at a casino restaurant with the highest quality beef available, hand selected, 100% Angus, corn-fed and from the Midwest.

Hamilton’s Urban Steakhouse and Bourbon Bar won OpenTable Diner’s Choice award for steaks like their dry-aged bone-in ribeye and the Wagyu coulotte.

Carnivore

Carnivore, as the name implies, is very, um, meat-forward, but some of their best steaks are dressed with seafood, like the Limon Surf n’ Turf, a filet festooned with jumbo shrimp in white wine/lemon/caper sauce.

Tucker’s Place is known locally as the can’t-miss steakhouse for big juicy porterhouses and succulent New York strip steaks.

J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steak and Seafood, well, the name says it all, and we’d go a customized surf n’ turf of wood-grilled ribs and the jumbo crab cakes.

The Tenderloin Room serves, as you might suspect, fantastic tenderloin…and we also like the Chef Exclusive New York strip and filet mignon.

Sam’s Steakhouse is an “upscale gem” serving the Cowboy Bone-In Ribeye and a “limited supply” of prime rib.

Longhorn Steakhouse gets big points for their proprietary spice blend, delicious on their fire-grilled T-bone and Longhorn porterhouse.

Surf & Sirloin is a traditional local favorite, with a big rep for outstanding seafood and wonderful steaks set atop peppercorn/brandy/mustard sauce.
