The Fitzpatrick Saloon Building, where The Majestic Restaurant resides, houses much of Kansas City's rich history. During Prohibition, the Fitzpatrick Saloon was converted to a haberdashery, and underneath that was a popular speakeasy. Kansas City Jazz Club now takes the place of that speakeasy.
