The Majestic Restaurant Kansas City steakhouse

If you are cold blooded, bring a coat. It's very cool in the basement restaurant with the jazz band. The band was good and played constantly during dinner. Gary was our server and he was very helpful and engaging. The wine and spirits menu is massive. The charcuterie plate is huge and worth it. The steak soup was savory. The steaks were incredible, but both were more rare than we requested. That being said, we loved them. This is not a cheap steakhouse, but it is a worth it for a special event. I have eaten at more expensive steakhouses and I think this is a better value and experience. Especially with the life jazz band. We will come here again.

I love old school steakhouses. I will choose one over a chain in a heartbeat!. This place is in a old 1920's-30's era bldg. Downstairs jazz club. Tight service. Nice menu.

Thank you all for an amazing Father's Day feast! From the moment we walked in we felt like family. Christy greeted us like old friends and Lauren, Tobias, and Joe made sure our dining experience was unsurpassed. Definitely our favorite hangout! We will be back soon.

Easy to make reservations, historic building, interesting history to read, good service, friendly/helpful servers, excellent food (I had a Filet Mignon), nice atmosphere, and awesome live Jazz music. We celebrated our wedding anniversary. We were treated very well here. We had a great time. Thank you ☺️ We will recommend your restaurant and we will be back.

Excellent and friendly service, fantastic prices and value for salads and side dishes. The steaks were cooked perfectly to order, and flavorful. The bar area also looked equally well-stocked and maintained by the bartender. Definitely a well kept piece of historic KC on display here.

Absolutely the best steakhouse I've ever been to. We went for a celebratory dinner for a family member who recently passed away. The manager was kind enough to have some pics we provided as well as a lit candle on the table. That meant a great deal and we will never forget that. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even covered our drinks in honour of the occasion. The place has great history and the whole feel of the place is familiar and comfortable. Don't be intimidated by the price. The food and the experience is well worth every penny. I can't say enough good things about The Majestic.

Probably the best steak we have ever had! Perfectly cooked to our liking. The sides were great too, especially the asparagus. The portions are big but make sure to keep some space for dessert; the chocolate cake with pretzels is to die for! Oh and ask for a table downstairs if you enjoy live music.

Top-notch music and food. The steaks are incredible. The waiters are fast, attentive, and knowledgeable. The drinks are fantastic (get the barrel-aged Manhattan). The jazz is world-class. This is the best jazz club in Kansas City.

This was the first time my husband and I have gone out for dinner in 2 years and it was perfect. Great service, delicious food (sadly, I accidentally walked off without my leftovers), and fantastic jazz. I appreciated their policies for safety and felt they took care to seat people with room in between whenever possible. Such a great night. Always highly recommend The Majestic. They never disappoint!!

Wonderful steak and lamb. The veggies were some of the best we’ve had also. Wine & dessert paired nicely! Our server, Tobias, was attentive and very friendly. The best testimony is that we had to walk around the block after the meal!
