Murray's - Minneapolis
There's so much history surrounding Murray's. The building the restaurant occupies is one of the oldest in Minneapolis and it was built in the 1880s. The Murray’s signs, in fact, are now a downtown icon. The actual restaurant was established in 1946, and for the last 40 years, their in-house butcher is behind the 28-ounce strip sirloin for two.

There are many more signature dishes at Murray's. The hickory-smoked shrimp are bacon wrapped and are accompanied by a smoky sweet sauce.
All of Murray’s steaks, which range from Chateaubriand for two to a dry-aged Kansas City strip sirloin, receive no less than 28 days of aging before serving. Each arrives with a choice of Murray’s French onion soup or Murray’s Caesar salad and choice of baked potato, mashed, au gratin or seasonal vegetable. Additional options include Red Lake walleye with a cracker crust, broiled Australian lobster tail, and lemon-herb chicken.
