Top notch meal and service. Every dish was cooked and plated to perfection. Great mixed drinks and a voluminous wine selection. A fantastic anniversary dinner.

My husband and I have only recently started to return to the indoor dining scene; Vertical is a spot that was on our rotation prior to Covid19. Our most recent visit last week only reaffirmed why we enjoy this spot. The dining room itself has a very warm, but "city" aesthetic; down a few steps from street level, reminds me of dining in New York. We both enjoyed our multiple courses, wine (a crazy number are offered by the glass), and the warm hospitality of the staff. The last couple of years have undoubtedly been tough for the restaurant industry, and while lots of "best new" spots pop up, come and go, it's important to support our long time go-to spots that continue to provide us with a great evening out.

This was a culinary mugging. The restaurant is beautiful, the location is perfect, but I can't justify $26 for a small bowl of creamed rice with a hint of mushroom, also known as the Mushroom Risotto. The prices are...ambitious...

Joe was a wonderful waiter and selected the perfect wine for me to celebrate my birthday. We had a delicious meal and desserts. Excellent service, good vibes, and incredible food. Thank you!

Great food! The steak beats most of the best steakhouses in town. The wine selection is huge with plenty of rare old vintage bottles. Upbeat atmosphere.

Great atmosphere very good service. The food was delicious they have many different choices if you want to try something for the 1st time especially the Winter garden salad is delicious. One of the best selections for wines in the state of Michigan and beyond. Very friendly staff.

Loved our dinner last night. What a fantastic cozy restaurant with an amazing wine list and absolutely delicious food. I see comments about the prices and knew it prior going to the restaurant and were ready to treat ourselves to a special dinner. The menu was perfect and a smaller menu is always a good sign of a delicious dinner. I can't wait to go back!!!

Great atmosphere. Food portions were small for what you'll pay. Under seasoned a bit. Excellent service and great attitudes of all the staff members.

Without a doubt, one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. The only reason I gave it the two stars is because the restaurant is cute inside and they have good parking.. I ordered a lemonade at first, DISGUSTING. It was without a doubt, lemon water. Exchanged the lemonade for a “sprite”. Immediately, no. It tasted like sparkling water. Ordered a Caesar salad, it tasted sour…. Literally fail after fail after fail. AND I hate where my seat was. I won’t be going back.

Came here for a NYE dinner with my friend. Upon arrival the host staff were very nice, they checked our coats. I really liked the ambiance of the place. Very cute and cozy. I ordered this drink called the Real Housewives of Detroit. It was good. We ordered Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. They were a bit spicy which I didn’t mind since I like spice. As dinner I got the market fish which was a trout with beets and horseradish sauce. Super tasty. My friend got the mushroom risotto which was also super good. I also ordered a sweet red wine, it tastes like Stella Rosa to me so I wasn’t impressed. We also ordered dessert. My friend got an apple cake and I got a chocolate mousse parfait. Both super delicious. Before attending the resturant we were skeptical about the limited menu but it ended up being a great experience. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because of the wine I had that tasted like Stella Rosa.
