A breathtaking three-story wine tower serves as the centerpiece of the Philadelphia outpost for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House. Located near city hall, inside a historic landmark that was once First Pennsylvania Bank, the contemporary-styled restaurant has carved out magnificent balconies draped in plush red fabric, which overlook the sweeping main dining room.
The menu boasts classic steakhouse fare, plus delightful updates on popular dishes here and there. For starters, diners may dig into crab cake with Cajun lobster sauce, crispy Shanghai calamari or fried oysters.
But it's the signature steaks that keep customers coming back, and they'll always be the same. From the 12-ounce filet mignon to a 32-ounce, long-bone Wagyu, they're accompanied by butter or toppings such as lump crab, asparagus and Bernaise. Seafood selections vary, depending on what's in season. There's also a New Orleans-inspired "Lagniappe" menu.
Every Sunday diners may indulge in a $55 prix-fixe menu of an eight-ounce filet paired with a choice of succulent crab cake, scallops or shrimp, plus a salad and side.
