Ruth’s Chris Steak House Baton Rouge

I have finally eaten at all of the fancy steak places I know of. Ruth’s, Sullivans, Buddys (Hammond), Flemings. Ruth’s was slightly more expensive than Flemings, but not by much. I ordered the ribeye at all of them for scientific research purposes. Food wise, Ruth’s has the best steaks, Flemings the best sides, and Buddy’s the best overall (it is by far the cheapest). The table bread was awesome. Steaks were cooked 100% perfectly, which is hard to get because medium means something different everywhere you go. I ordered the ribeye and my girl ordered the New York strip. The ribeye was better than the other three places ribeyes. My girl didn’t care for the New York strip, she said it was very salty. I didn’t notice, but the ribeye was definitely better. The salads were great. I ordered the chopped and my girl the Caesar. Both were great, and the chopped presentation was very unique. The sides were pretty disappointing. We ordered mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and broiled tomato. The tomato must have had sugar on it, it tasted like ketchup. The creamed spinach was bland, and the mashed potatoes tasted homemade (which is good for $3 side, but for a fancy steak place at $10 it needs to be otherworldly). Gave my girl a cheesecake since we were celebrating her birthday. Probably the best cheesecake we have had. Overall a fantastic experience. Our waitress Diamond was excellent and friendly. The water glasses did not get less than half full (or empty?). Bathrooms were immaculate.

Simply the best Ruths Chris there is!! Ambiance, service, people, food, staff. All of it is perfection. So good that it is usually sold out, so don't dilly dally in making a reservation when you want to eat - and be treated - like a king and queen!! So, what are you waiting for??

I am overwhelmed with the perfection of this extraordinary restaurant! From the excited and warm greeting to the sincere farewell it was perfect and beyond expectations! Our party had steak which was fantastic! Every single bite was wondrous! And we had crab cakes that were superb as well. This restaurant is truly the definition of perfection. You will feel as if you were a king or queen. If you've been there you know. If not, don't miss out out on this extraordinary experience!!!

My fiance applied to work here and was told to come on orientation day. He dressed up very nice in a black button up and black slacks. When he was told to present his Licence and Social Card. The Owner, who was giving the interview, threw his cards back at my fiance and said, "This won't work, you're not a good fit." As if his cards should be made of gold or something. Completely unprofessional and embarrassing. If that's how he treats potential employees then I can only imagine how horrible he is to his actual employees. I think the owner needs to be humbled and retrained so he can be professional and level headed enough to handle the public and future hires.

The restaurant lived up to its long standing reputation. Food and service second to none. The staff made us feel like the most important people in the room as we celebrate our Anniversary. It was our first time there but will definitely be returning. Hands down best experience in Baton Rouge.

I mean it's Ruth's Chris. You get what you pay for. Honestly the bone in ribeye for 2 is perfect. Lobster mac and cheese has got to have a whole lobster tail in it, and we split it between 4 people. Definitely a Louisiana staple and one of the best steakhouses in town.

Love this place. The food is always great tasting regardless of the time lunch,brunch or dinner. The mouth watering Porterhouse steak,steamed lobster,,lobster Mac and cheese,garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole are some of my faves. I recommend this restaurant to any friends and family.

Pretty phenomenal place: The food was magical. I like food, but the meal as a whole left me questioning if I had ever had food on this level of quality before. In terms of restaraunt quality, these folks upped the ant!÷. Service was amazing and the drinks were perfectly on point. Pricier than a lot of other places, but its worth every penny.

The food and staff are amazing!! I was honestly lost for words at how swift and nice everyone was at this particular location. I was greeted literally from the time I got out of my car until we got seated at a table. Diamond was my waitress and she was outstanding!!!!! And if you see this Diamond you are awesome ❤️

Always delicious food, and blueberry lemon drop martinis. The cheesecake is our favorite dessert topped with blueberries. AND the service is impeccable!
