Doris Metropolitan - New Orleans
Boasting premium seasonal ingredients and beef from premier sources from across the country, Doris Metropolitan originated in Israel in 2003. The owners opened a second location in San Jose, Costa Rica, then a third in New Orleans in 2013.
In a few short years, the New Orleans' outpost has garnered a number of accolades, including winning the prestigious "New Orleans Best New Restaurant" award by New Orleans magazine. Highlights on the entree menu range from tender short ribs topped with smoked tomato au jus and cooked for 24 hours to herb-crusted Chilean sea bass.
Steak offerings put Doris Metropolitan in the higher echelon of steakhouses in this city as far as price range. That includes $38 for the 10-ounce butcher's cut of a Porterhouse to $185 for a 10-ounce Japanese Wagyu strip loin.
