We were here to celebrate my birthday. While the only complaint from a party of 7 about the food was the new York strip had a large vein of gristle, it's the vibe of the place that is off putting. There was a wedding reception going on while we were there. Not sure if that was the entire issue. It felt like our server was just there. No interaction, the hostess acknowledged my birthday when we arrived, but our server never even mentioned it. While I cannot give you an exact description, I did feel like it was all a very expensive generic dining experience. Of course they added a mandatory gratuity. One should really call it something other than a gratuity. No wonder that waitstaff could care less. At the end of the day, it's just not worth the expense to feel like you just left costco.

We have been repeat customers of Eddie Merlot's for over 7 years. Their steaks have always been consistent and extremely high quality. I also love their seasonal menus to try different creations by the chef. Their service is always personal and caring. I also appreciate that this restaurant is not as loud as a lot of places these days. Their portions sizes are adequate, if not larger than is necessary. Personal favorites include the King Crab and Corn Bisque, Sweet and Spicy Shrimp, Yellowfin Tuna and Bison Filet.

So I first dined here in person a few years ago, and it was the best food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I was so excited to see them on door dash when I came to town. My delivery order was a cheeseburger, fries, wild mushrooms and the peanut butter dessert the first night. The second night I got almost the same thing but added the lobster Mac and cheese. Everything, except the Mac and cheese, was incredible. I feel the max and cheese would be better if they used a better quality pasta, or better yet make it fresh in house. But hey, they’re steaks are what they’re known for. I wished I lived closer so I could come here in person once a week. Great job Eddie merlots!!!

The sweet and spicy shrimp is delicious. The service and atmosphere were great. I wasn’t thrilled about the steak and my fiancé and I both didn’t feel too good after the meal. The steak didn’t have much flavor. I asked for the primed bourbon ribeye and the waiter just kept suggesting other items. He then suggested a dry aged tomahawk, to which I asked if it would be prepared the same as the primed bourbon and he said yes. Don’t think it was — no bourbon flavor at all, or much flavor for that matter. Prepare to be up sold. The waiters must have it drilled into their brains to upsell upsell upsell. We had to politely decline a giant surf&turf plate a few times. Our server was great, I’m assuming he’s just doing his job, but upper management needs some assistance on the food.
