Very nice dinner but for the price it would be a rare splurge, even during happy hour.
Went for a last minute casual Happy Hour dinner with a friend on a Wednesday night. Sat in the bar lounge which was very comfortable seating. They had large high back chairs that helped give a private booth type feel.
We weren't rushed at all. We were there close to 2 hours. Waitress wasn't overly attentive which was nice. Happy hour menu is a bit pricier than I had expected, was hoping for some more reasonably priced items to be on it. I expect happy hour drinks to be priced under $8 and my margarita was small and nothing specialfor $11.
The Spicy Shrimp ($12) was definitely worth the price though. Delicious taste with just the right amount of crunch and heat, not overly breaded.
I ordered my New York Strip ($58) and Au gratin potatoes (additional $$13) off the dinner menu as I don't like wine and the steaks on the happy hour are both paired with wine ($48 pairing).
The New York Strip was perfectly tender and delicious although the presentation wasn't very appealing. I ordered it medium (think it was a tad morr toward the medium well side) but it wasn't overcooked at all it was scrumptious!!
The Au gratin potatoes looked heavenly and the flavors did not disappoint.
I wish I had ordered the asparagus as well but by the time we were finished the bill was $185 and I was stuffed so maybe next time.
