Stopped at the Chicago oyster house before the Rammstein show at Soldier field for dinner. We were at a hotel around the corner so it was nice to walk to...

A bit pricey, but a nice treat if you're looking to enjoy a little splurge dinner. The cocktails were phenomenal, I had several of the southern belle and they were SOOO good. My fave definitely had to be the grilled oysters, the firecracker ones are fantastic. We had two waitresses, it seemed like one might have been a new girl and both of them did an excellent job and provided great service. They knew exactly when to check in with us and were very kind and polite and professional. My only complaint was that the hostess could use an attitude adjustment, she looked absolutely miserable right when my friend and I walked in the door and like she wanted us gone, thankfully we didn't let it affect our experience and still had the best dinner. The homemade hand scrub in the bathroom was also awesome and left my hands so soft.

DON'T. Overpriced for barely better than mediocre food in a pretentious atmosphere. Restroom floors were sticky and main door obnoxiously difficult to open (certainly not ADA compliant operating force wise). And charging anything for splitting checks, especially 20% per ticket, is simply and purely monetary greed.

I am an oyster aficiando, from Seattle. This place GREAT! The oysters (6 types, 3 from west coast where i am from, 3 east coast). All fresh, raw and how we like them. Service top notch, drinks, professional and great. Steak, and so much food we ordered, all great. And...the service as I said, so good. Thanks all, i am picky, and i highly, highly recommend Chicago Oyster House...

So good, I have added it to my restaurant routine list....The drinks, appetizers and main courses were all delicious. Also an eclectic patronage added to the experience. If you are in the South Loop or near South neighborhood...you must check it out..

Anybody that’s going here to eat should know if you’re gonna be spending around $75 per person. We were surprised that on the menu it says automatic 20% fee added. It took around 45 minutes to receive our appetizers and then another 45 minutes to receive our main meal. The food was good & staff was friendly. They were very busy due to the Elton John concert and checked with each table to see if they were in a rush (to get to the concert). That was thoughtful but may have caused our extreme wait since we were not attending the concert. The food was very good.

Very nice ambiance restaurant with attentive staff and delicious food and drinks. I had a sashimi platter and the clams and vino appetizer. Both made for a delicious start of the evening before my concert event. I’d definitely return again.

Good service, food quality lacking... Raw oysters were fresh and tasty; however, the lamb chops were too sweet from the wine reduction and there was only 4 bones for $60. The james bond martini was watery and the seafood pasta with the wine reduction was not reduced properly and it tasted like wine was just poured on the dish 3 stars for location ambience and the oysters
