Thanksgiving, Harry Caray's-style

With Halloween mere days away, leaves continuing to fall and days growing increasingly shorter, it can all only mean one thing: the holidays are drawing near. Of course, first up is Thanksgiving, as restaurants gear up for one of the biggest food holidays of the year by rolling out menus filled with turkey, gravy and stuffing.

For those averse to tackling an entire turkey at home (an understandably daunting aversion, by the way), Chicago restaurants are rising to the occasion with holiday menus fit for the whole family. Chief among them this year is Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse, which takes pause from its Italian-accented steakhouse fare for a day to serve up a hearty meal of all-American comfort.

Open for Thanksgiving dinner at all three locations, Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse keeps things simple and satisfying for families looking to avoid cooking — and cleaning — at home. The restaurants will all be featuring traditional Thanksgiving specials for the holiday. This means roasted turkey, herb-roasted prime rib, Brussels sprouts, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and everything else you could possibly crave at the onset of the holiday season.

Guests dining at Harry Caray’s Lombard and Rosemont outposts can enjoy unlimited visits to the restaurant’s all-you-can-eat buffet of side dishes as well.

Reservations can be made by calling the individual restaurants, or by visiting their respective websites.
