1200° Chophouse St. Pete Beach steakhouse

The bartender was super nice and professional , helped us with any questions. (Jason?) Unfortunately our steak came out med well/well done even tho we ordered a med rare. Bartender gave us a discount. The steak would’ve been bomb if it had been cooked right. We didn’t want to sit for another 30 minutes for the correct steak bc it was our anniversary and didn’t want to miss our night plans.

This was our first time dinning at the Chophouse. We will definitely be going back.We’re not sure why we have not dined here before as we have lived in South Pasadena for many years! The food was exquisite and cooked to perfection. But, better than that, the service was amazing! Jeremy was engaging, knowledgeable, professional and totally made our evening special!

Still love this establishment, one of my beach favorites even after 10 years. Tonight I ordered bigger than my belly, but I insist on. Dessert 🍨 first. Still ordered 10 Oz filet and added on the shrimp and scallops. Absolutely everything cooked to perfection. Shrimp and scallops perfect texture because perfect preparation. My steak.....I could always kiss if I knew. Never once an over cooked steak. Absolutely perfect for not just Tonight, but year after year.

It is small and tight inside but it is well worth the time to eat here. Appears to be wine and beer only bit the food was spectacular! Ordered the filet and wife ordered Surf and Turf. Both steaks were cooked perfectly and the lobster tail was also amazing. I recommend Medium Rare on the filet. My only criticism is that the pepper seasoning was a bit strong on the steaks so you might ask them to go light on that if you do want a really strong pepper taste on your steak... This was our best meal so far on St Pete Beach.

Been coming to St Pete Beach for many years and decided to try 1200 Chophouse for the first time. We were not disappointed at all and probably can say this is my new fav in St Pete!! Everything from the House salad, steaks, seafood, sides were top notch!! And Christopher behind the bar was very informative, courteous and attentive..... the place was packed but it was almost like we were his only customers!! We will certainly be back!! Thanks 1200 Chophouse Team!!

We ended up here after a horrible experience at another place! We literally got a room and drove 2.5 hours to go to another establishment that was the absolute WORST. We stumbled upon this by accident and we were so glad we did! LITERALLY THE BEST STEAK OF MY LIFE! I would travel again just to come back to this establishment. The gentleman that took care of us provided one of the best service experience I’ve ever had ( and working in the industry I’m a tough critic ) Max went ABOVE AND BEYOND to turn our night around. Other guests were welcoming and fun and you could tell this is a place where if you go once your a fan for life! Thank you for saving the night! We will DEFINITELY be back

This is the 3rd or 4th time we have been to St Pete’s beach and every time we are in town we visit 2200 Chophouse. The service is consistently great! Jamie E served us tonight and, as always, she was very attentive. The food is always amazing! We will be back the next time we hit the beach here:)

Great quality steak cooked to perfection and doesn't need anything else, melts in your mouth. My husband loved his surf and turf as well - says it's the best steak he's ever had! We had bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer and finished off with their flourless cake - every single thing we had was perfect! Portions were just right - not overwhelming, yet very filling. The service was great as well. I don't think I can go back to a regular steakhouse now. Would 100% recommend, the price is well worth the quality.

Excellent steaks and great service. You will not be disappointed. The pork chop is delicious. Small place and they don't take reservations but it is certainly worth the wait.

I would've really loved to try this place out as it was highly recommended. We tried going three nights and every time the wait was over one hour. But that is not what stopped us from waiting. The hosts at the entrance seem like they don't want you there... The third night we decided to go one hour earlier, so that even if we had to wait it was no big deal. Again we were told 45 minutes to one hour, to which I replied "that's fine, we'll wait". The host then said "It is closer to one hour, are you sure?" That was it for us. We went in several other places and the hosts were always welcoming and making one hour sound like no big deal. You can have the best food in town but if you don't have a good front of the house, then what does it even matter?
